A bucket of oats for Dusty
She will be looking to add carrots
for 2nd win in a row.
Tampa Bay
A track to enjoy afternoon racing without
the sound of slot machines.
Our competitors will be racing in the
"Speedy or Sloth Stakes"
no clue how they came up with that one
and suggest who ever did, don't take credit for it.
The race caller (blunny) is sponsored by Geritol
Great when mixed with Vodka

BOTS in play
Dusty, the defending Champ, is asking for some warmth.
A few of the Colts stepped up to offer her some.
I have a feeling she will be running around the track with a smile.
This being El Prado's home field and being a true Southern Lady,
she invited Peeptoad, Post Time Mike, Real Quiet, Cruzan, Raven & Catalina
out on a Gambling boat Friday night.
Some felt the boat resembled the S. S. Minnow and the Skipper and first mate looked familiar.
The sky turned black and put on quite a light show with sound effects. Looking back at the dock,
they saw El Prado waving as they entered the Twilight Zone
or as it seemed more like the Bermuda Triangle.
They turned back and at that moment a school of porpoises torpedoed them,
sinking the boat and left them floundering in the Gulf.
Good news, the Coast Guard rescued them, bad news after Post Time.
The Stewards announced the scratches explaining the tragic boat trip.
All knew El Prado was the one that arranged the trip,
thus trying to eliminate some of the competition.
There was now a target on her back.
8 standing quietly for the mile race.
Dark clouds rolled in with Thunder booming and Lightning close by.
Just as the gates opened, a bolt of lightning hits the battery pack of blunny
sending him to a quick lead.
Followed by Dusty who seems to be enjoying the wind in her face.
El Prado dropped back to stay out of harms way.
The others not enjoying the approaching storm, find comfort & safety in a tight pack.
At the 4f pole, blunny is still in first thanks to the lightning charged battery.
Dusty closing due to her enjoyment of the nasty weather
that now included rain, thunder, lightning and a tail wind.
Thunder Cat trying to call upon the Storm Gods to propel her to the front.
Tiger Dancer jumping over puddles trying to keep her dainty hoofs dry.
A pissed off Cigar Shop close up to them lost the flame on his stogie due to the rain using this
to motivate him to pick up his pace to get to the wire fast to get a new Cuban from his valet.
At the 6f pole Dusty with her wipers and seeing clearly now passes blunny
whose tail is dragging in the mud, thus slowing him down.
Thunder Cat(have to use her full name, its in her contract),
CS and TD manage to seize a beach umbrella flying by to get under,
Thunder Cat and TD use their tails to hold the umbrella steady against the storm,
while Cigar franticly tries to re-lite his Cigar.
The others can't be seen
but it is rumored they have gone to the comforts of the Poker Room.
The wire approaches.
Dusty in a tight fitting wet suit crosses the wire first and is met with an Umbrella drink.
Blunny who finishes second and whose fur looks like the Easter Chocolate Bunny
heads to the car wash.
Thunder Cat, TD, Roamin, CS in that order follow in a nearby retired villages Golf Cart.
El Prado and Ruffian are escorted by security from the Poker Room to the finish line.
El Prado edges CS because the Stewards made him pick up his tossed away Cigar.
Ruffian holding tightly on to her winnings from the Poker Room
slows her to the point she is the last to cross.
Order of finish
Dusty $ 80.00
Blunny $ 59.80
Thunder Cat $ 54.30
Tiger Dancer $ 36.60
Roamin $ 34.20
El Prado $ 21.40
Cigar Shop $ 18.70
Ruffian $ 9.00
