This thread was posted not as a competition, but rather a place to share information regarding the progeny of two special mares (and sires).

Well, I assume that Cozmic One has returned to California for the winter with Mr. Shirreffs.

Since I have not seen any timed works for him I do not think we'll see a start in 2014.

Jess's Dream, however, has two works which seem solid...

November 23rd 4 furlongs in 49.56

October 15th 4 furlongs in 49.12

Now, I do not know if there were any works in September or even August at Saratoga....

Here is the answer...
http://www.drf.com/news/rachel-alexandras-son-jesss-dream-has-first-belmont-work

September 19th 3 furlongs in 36.84.

And it mentions that Cozmic One had worked..

September 12th 4 furlongs in 49.45, final 3 furlongs in 37.01

Here is something from this summer from HRTV on Jess's Dream

Jess's Dream, Curlin-sired Ocean Knight and Good Pick Nick are all owned by Barbara Banke's Stonestreet Stable. Jess's Dream is also by Curlin, the 2007-08 Horse of the Year and 2014 Hall of Famer, and is the first foal out of 2009 Horse of the Year Rachel Alexandra. He is named for Banke's late husband, Jess Jackson, who campaigned both Curlin and Rachel Alexandra and envisioned their mating.

"He is working very well and should get started before the year's end," McLaughlin said. "Obviously, he is very well-bred. He's been working weekly and doing very well. He's really improving mentally and physically and we hope for big things from him. He's a talented colt. It's nice to have him in the barn.

Well, Cozmic One must be getting close to running since this was printed a couple of weeks ago.

Cozmic One, the first offspring out of 2010 Horse of the Year, and the enormously popular, Zenyatta is set to make his racing debut in a matter of days according to owner Jerry Moss.

"Cozmic One will run here at Santa Anita in a matter of days. Victor (Espinoza) worked him the other day and he's ready." Moss said.

Zenyatta's first foal, Cozmic One, is scheduled to work out Monday at Santa Anita as the son of Bernardini nears his debut.

Then there's Cozmic One, 2010 Horse of the Year Zenyatta's first foal, who reportedly will make his career debut sometime in January at Santa Anita. Think that won't cause quite a stir around the racing world?

January 5th Cozmic One worked 5 furlongs at Santa Anita in 1:01.60.
December 29th Cozmic One worked 5 furlongs at Santa Anita in 1:01.00
December 21st Cozmic One worked 5 furlongs at Santa Anita in 1:04.20

Jess's Dream's last workout was on December 18th at Belmont Park 5 furlongs in 1:00.25.

4, 5. The princes
For next year's Kentucky Derby, at the Wynn in Las Vegas, their odds are holding at 60-1, and apparently people are betting on them, proving the ubiquity, if not the immortality, of folly. Neither one ever has raced and one of them hasn't even had a workout in three months, but expectations for them hang in the air, like the Cheshire Cat's grin. They're the princes: Cozmic One, the son of Bernardini and Zenyatta; and Jess's Dream, the son of two Horses of the Year, Curlin and Rachel Alexandra.

Not that Bernardini and Curlin didn't have their fans, but Rachel Alexandra and especially Zenyatta were superstars whose appeal reached beyond the sport to grab a larger audience and indeed the popular culture. And so the entire sport will stop to watch when their sons get to the races. Jess's Dream, whose most recent serious workout was on Nov. 23 (a half-mile in 49.56 over Belmont's training track), would seem closer to that big day. But that's not surprising. Zenyatta herself didn't debut until November of her 3-year-old season, and Cozmic One, whose last workout was a slow half-mile back at Belmont in September, appears to taking his time, too.

Though unraced, no discussion about McLaughlin's three-year-olds is complete without mentioning Jess's Dream (Curlin-Rachel Alexandra). Racing fans are anticipating a start from arguably the best bred horse in training, and are even more hopeful that he becomes the first horse to win the Derby without a start at two since Apollo in 1882. He has been working down in the Florida with a likely debut at Gulfstream Park in late January.

Here is the latest:

Cozmic One
1/23 5 furlongs in 1:03.00
1/15 5 furlongs in 1:03.20

Jess's Dream
No work since December 18th at Palm Meadows.

It looks like Cozmic One may be getting close to a start. I think they probably want to get one more work into him if he's not entered this weekend in a race.

It seems like they pulled back a little bit on Jess's Dream with no recent published works.

Here is the latest from HRN

All's Okay With Jess's Dream
McLaughlin also reported that Jess's Dream, the first colt out of 2009 Horse of the Year Rachel Alexandra, is doing fine at Gulfstream's satellite training facility Palm Meadows, where he is training for his career debut.

The 3-year-old is the result of a 'dream' pairing between Rachel Alexandra and 2008 Horse of the Year Curlin. Named after the late Jess Jackson, who campaigned both Champions before he passed away in 2011, the colt has been in training with McLaughlin since August. He has not worked in South Florida since December 18, when he breezed five furlongs in 1:00.25, the second best of 14 works that day.

"We've had tiny little bits of waiting and worrying, but everything is okay," McLaughlin said.

So - is CO working today or being entered in a race in the next week or so?

Or maybe he'll work Saturday in preparation for a race next Saturday.

Man o Taz

He worked on January 31st at Santa Anita, 6 furlongs in 1:14.00.

Could race any day now.

Man o Taz

Cozmic One has not worked in 7-8 per his regular cycle so I wonder if he may be entered this week in a race, or if they have slowed the training down.

Jess's Dream has not worked since December 18th.

There are pictures on Zenyatta's Cozmic One webpage from Tuesday.

From Stonestreet's Facebook page:
https://www.facebook.com/StonestreetFarms

Jess's Dream has left Palm Meadows for the Stonestreet Training Center. There is nothing wrong with him and he remains in work, we are just taking it slowly with this big, late maturing colt. We are in the fortunate position of owning a training facility very close by, allowing us to move horses to and from the track more frequently than otherwise. Watch for him back on the work tab with Kiaran McLaughlin soon.
