Well, an interesting set of races this weekend.

Treve comes up 4th in the G1 Prix Vermielle losing to Baltic Baroness. I don't know if she may be experiencing a bit of Rachel Alexandra's issues as a 4 year old...where carrying more weight and being tested so much as a three year old may be coming back to haunt her.
Australia loses to The Grey Gatsby at the wire in the Irish Champion Stakes at Leopardstown.
Ectot wins the 12 furlong Prix Niel at Longchamp. I wonder if they should be pointing Mr. Speaker to the Arc since Ectot bested Adelaide who finished second to Mr. Speaker in the 10 furlong G1 Belmont Derby, and won the G1 Secretariat Stakes before finishing third to Ectot.
Ruler of the World won impressively in the 12 furlong G2 Prix Foy at Longchamps.
Kingston Hill won the G1 British St. Leger Stakes after an inquiry.
Tapestry finished 9th in the 1 mile G1 Matron Stakes.
Chiquita ran 2nd in the G2 Blandford Stakes was 10 furlongs at Curragh.

Well, she does it again. What a filly. I know they retired her - and she had back and foot problems - but if anyone can accomplish a three-peat in the Arc, I think she is the one.

The Guardian Headline is my favorite...The Mighty Treve - because she is mighty...no matter how fragile her physical constitution may have been at points this year...
