ROI Results 7/18 @ Monmouth Park

Our annual trip to Monmouth Park provided us with 6 winning bets and two profit makers.
Real Quiet and Blunny cashed tickets but fell short of profitability. Cal828 Cal828 took the
place spot with his third straight week of double doubles. $12 worth of winning tickets
gave Cal a profit of $8 and another winning week. It ain't much but it sure beats ripping
up tickets. Last week I stated Allydar was making a run at AEAgain for the overall lead
so Alli let out a notch and sprinted to a clear lead again with win number 5. In race 5
Alli cashed a dead heat place ticket and followed that in race 8 with a $26 win wager
on the double digit paying St. Erling worth $179. AEAgain finished the soggy afternoon
up $97 and that was more than enough for an easy peasy win. Did anybody even like
Baby Vino a little?  Following are the unofficial results pending a review. See you next

I think Alli is the only one in positive territory. I think there is a wee error. I played $12 worth of doubles which returned $5.90 for each double. By my calculation that comes to $70.80, so much to my chagrin, I too am short of profitability. I did not seriously consider Baby Vino, but I did consider playing that race with my doubles and I noticed that Paco Lopez rode Baby Vino in his last race, but of course rode the Preakness winner too and decided to go with that one. That decision probably smarted a bit.
