I don't know about now, but back in the day, when he was at Santa Anita, you could always tell who Dave Johnson was alive to in the Daily Double by how he called the second race. If his horses were going backward at the 3/16th pole you heard a very anti-climactic "And Down the Stretch They Come."  If you hear an emphatic "Yeeeessssss!!!" after the finale at the Big Fair today, you'll have your answer.😉

I know he is, I think he was a pretty good agent too, there were sure some that wanted him out of that, though. I'm glad he's back, I think he's good for the sport.
