   That was a long essay, but he writes so well that I enjoyed every paragraph.
   Maybe enjoy isn't the right word, since he addresses some serious problems with TB racing, problems which IMHO we have all seen. And worried about.

Thank you for the link, Stark.  Should be required reading for all people in the industry, and for fans and handicappers, who are in essence the only folks that can apply pressure for change.

I agree with virtually all his contentions, and I am still left perplexed as to why he never made Relaunch a chef-de-race, though Grant's Causeway was made one and Storm Cat was not.

I did, however, enjoy the argument / explanation / discussion on TBC on the topic and sure wish I had a copy of that thread.
