The ROI contest will be played at Belmont, Keeneland and Santa Anita on Saturday. These are all Breeders Cup races. The wagers follow whatever is offered at the days track. The wager limit is $100 and can be split over as many as 4 races. You can wager all on one race or bet 2-3-4 races. Handicapping / ROI Recap 2026 after 43 weeks
September 28, 2026, 09:51:35 AM
With 43 weeks in the books our 2026 year is quickly moving toward the finish line. The Breeders Cup finale is only a few weeks away. Since we got "nor'eastered" out this week I had time to update our
contest. At this time there are two players showing a flat bet profit and it appears to be a dogfight
to the finish for the win. AEAgain is holding the lead with a positive ROI of 11.41% and a profit of $345. Allydar is number two by the narrowest of margins with an ROI of 11.12% and a profit of $481. I'm guessing there are probably 5 or 6 weeks left. Blunny is the only other player losing less than a thousand dollars but is over a thousand behind the top two. In the course of the years we played there
were 9 plus $2000 Saturdays so technically everyone still has a dollar and a dream. Allydar leads the way with 7 wins. Digger and AEAgain have added 6 and Cal has 5. The record is 10 by DonGuido. Good luck to everone as we approach the final turn.

Handicapping / ROI Results 9/19 @ PARX
September 23, 2026, 10:59:37 AM
A long day at PARX finished with two players hitting the payout board with 7 tickets
getting cashed. Digger hit three of his four bets but it wasn't profitable enough to hit
the point payout window. Indian Hemp cashed tickets in races 5 and 12 and showed
an $82.50 profit good enough for a second place finish. Race 5 provided IH with
most of his profit for the afternoon. The days big winner was Allydar who hit a $20.20
horse, Wild Vine, in the 11th.  That big win price with a $20 tickets was good for $202
and a nice profit of $152 and the trip to the PARX winners circle. Congrats on the win
Allydar. Nicely played. Honorable mention goes to Cal who picked good horses all
day but couldn't quite get the array right and to Ruffian who had seconds in races 4
and 5 with the latter going off at 70-1 and missing by less than a length. Only moral
victories but good picks nontheless. Following are the unofficial results pending a
trip to the blue tent. Check your scores cause there were scratches and I'll see you
next week.

The Oh Canada My Old Kentucky Home venue proved to be challenging. There were however
6 tickets cashed both north and south and two players hit the board. Digger hit his win bet at
Churchill on Splendora and took second place with a $20 profit. This weeks winner was Cal
who hit a small pick 3 and then added on a Super Hi 5 worth $79.57. a few scratches helped
the bottom line profit of $62.41  Congrats on the win Cal. Nicely played. Following are the
unofficial results which you should check. With two tracks and a few late scratches I could

Handicapping / ROI Results Saturday 9/5 @ Kentucky Downs
September 09, 2026, 11:20:46 AM
The green green grass of Kentucky (Downs) only gave up 3 winners and two players proved
themselves to be capable "turf stars".  Alli had an early winner but couldn't add to it and fell
short of a profit. Blunny had a nice $15.98 winner in race 7.  The win bet on Tiffany was worth
almost $200 and a $99.75 profit good for the place spot.  Allydar takes the win with an even
bigger mutuel in race 2.  He played first time starter Majik Mooney and the Majik Man took
to the turf. The win price was a stellar $25.54 with a profit of $219.25 and a no doubt about
it win. Congrats on the win Allydar. Nicely played. Following are the unofficial results
pending any objections. See you next week.

The Travers proved to be an exciting race and Leading Change proved to be an exciting horse.
A number of our group wagered on the Travers but no one could harness his potential. Only
three tickets were cashed elsewhere and only two players could show a profit. It was a battle
for the top spot with only $4+ separating the top two. Allydar hit on Virabhadrasana (I'm glad
I didn't call the race) in the 6th and got a nice $22.08 mutuel. The $176 profit was sweet but
not quite enough. Ruffian rocketed out of the starting gate in the first race and her $30 win
bet which paid $18.72 was good enough for a $180 profit and the Saratoga win. It's been
a tough year for Ruff but win number 3 was a good one. Congrats Ruff. Nicely played.
Following are the unofficial results. See you next week.

Saratoga and the Pacific Classic wasn't a classic day for anyone except for this weeks
winner and man o man did he have to work for it.  Cal cashed the only ticket this week
and he waited until his final bet to do it.  Cal's winning wager came in the Ballston Spa
and when Sunlit Uplands held second by a neck Cal collected $100.60 payout and a
60 cent profit. It wasn't much but it was $100+ better than anyone else and gave Cal
win number 4 on the year. Congrats on the win Cal. Nicely played. Following are the

Handicapping / ROI Results Saturday 8/15 @ Saratoga
August 19, 2026, 10:04:29 AM
All and all Saratoga on Saturday proved to be a tough read. Still and all the races at Saratoga
rival the best anywhere (except maybe Kamloops). Only two tickets were cashed and only
Cruzan showed a profit. Over the course of the Saratoga meet he has found a few double
digit winners and this weeks pick was Scramjet in the 2nd for $18.96 and an overall profit
of $137 and win number 3 on the season.  Nicely played Cruzan and congrats on another

Handicapping / ROI Results 8/8 @ Saratoga
August 12, 2026, 11:35:09 AM
Finally we had a pretty good week at Saratoga with a number of nice wagers. 6 tickets were
cashed and three players hit the payout board. All 6 winning tickets were place on different
horses or combo's. Cal hit a super box with a $20+ horse on top but didn't come near a
profit. Shows how tough that super can be at times. Digger takes third with a $70 win bet
on Sovereignty who really showed last years form. Ruffian gets second place via the
biggest straight winner on the afternoon. Will Not Be Swayed paid $26 in the 13th and
Ruff roared home with a profit of $225 which is normally good enough to win. All I can
say about this weeks winner is she has the pedal to the metal and is showing no signs
of slowing down. AEAgain is this years ROI leader and she continues to stretch out the
lead. AEA hit 3 winning tickets in her 4 wagers led by a $21.24 win bet on Glacius in
the 11. Along with her other two cashed tickets Alli wound up $310 up on the day with
win number 5 on the year. Congrats on the win Alli. Nicely played. Following are the

Handicapping / ROI Results 8/1 @ Saratoga
August 05, 2026, 10:49:15 AM
6 tickets cashed at Saratoga Saturday to start a new month. 2 players got enough back
to collect the points. Cruzan stays hot and gets the place spot via another double digit
win bet. He played Heat Missile in the 8th and a $13.10 win price put him up $63+ on
the day. This weeks winner was Indian Hemp. He started his day with a $52 win bet
on Life Changing in the 5th. That would have been just enough to edge out Cruzan but
IH added a superfecta in race 12 to complete an easy win. Payout of $164+ and $57+
were good for a $122 profit and win # 3 on the season. Nicely played Bart. Congrats
on the Saratoga win. Ruff made a little run with Expect the Best but fell a length short.

3 weeks after the Derby and on a Sunday. Could really be the death Nell of the triple crown or a rejuvenation.

Handicapping / ROI Results 7/25 @ Saratoga
August 03, 2026, 12:23:36 PM
Just a quick recap for last weeks races. Only two tickets were cashed and we only had one
winner. It was Cruzan's day at Saratoga on the 25th of July. Cruzan hit a sweet double digit
winner in race one and then waited for someone to catch him. Cal was the only challenger
but fell well short. Cruzan correctly picked Intraosseous in race 1 and got a $16.54 win
price worth an overall profit of $106.75. Nicely played Cruzan. Congrats on the win.
Following are last weeks totals as I saw them.
