Title: Volunteers Needed
Post by: stark on June 21, 2016, 07:04:05 AM
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR THE 2016 BREEDERS' CUP WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS TO BE HELD AT SANTA ANITA PARK NOV. 4 & 5

If you're a friendly and helpful individual who is willing to meet hundreds of new people and be on your feet all day, please inquire about volunteering for the 2016 edition of the Breeders' Cup World Championships. Volunteers will greet guests, escort horse owners and provide information all while being true ambassadors of both the overall event and our region.

This is the chance of a lifetime to be involved with an international sporting event, right in your own back yard!

Contact Breeders' Cup Volunteer Coordinator Kaitlyn Lavo at 626-574-6663 or by email at [email protected].

I have a friend who was a volunteer at the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles, and she said it was a wonderful experience. Also really, really exhausting.
Working the Breeders' Cup sounds like it could be fun, but I suspect that you wouldn't get much of a chance to just kick back and watch the races. Might be interesting to meet some of the owners, though.

Eh, already tried that with Santa Anita. Wasn't hired, probably too old.
