Racing / Jim Dandy Horses This Year ??

I heard the Preakness winner is headed to the Dandy. Any other rumors. I ask this same question this time every year because I always head over for the race.

I'm trying to figure out where he stands after winning the Travers ( track record ), BCC, Pegasus and DWC. Those are four huge races to win in a row. What's his future as a four year old.

Racing / What was your first exposure to horse racing.
January 21, 2017, 01:46:32 PM
I remember a horse that won the Derby , but was disqualified. Dancer's Image in 1968. Today what ever was in his system would be legal. I really got into racing in 1971 with Canenerro II, the horse from Argentina that won both the Kentucky Derby and Preakness. Little did I know in 1971 what was to come next. Riva Ridge, Secretariat, Seattle Slew and Affirmed.

Racing / Flip the Jockeys and Chrome Wins
November 05, 2016, 06:27:29 PM
I've never been real impressed with Victor. Too much Hollywood big shot. I would have loved to see Mike Smith on Chrome. We would probably have had a different outcome.

Racing / Charismatic To Old Friends
October 26, 2016, 02:00:49 PM
Great news. Charismatic heading to Old Friends end of November. Never forget the photo of jockey Chris Antley holding Charismatics injured front leg after the 1999 Belmont. Chris you are a hero. Thanks.

Racing / Exaggerator Retired

But winning the Santa Anita, Preakness and Haskell all grade I's should get him 3 yr old horse of the year. Also coming in 2nd in the Kentucky Derby will help.

11 for 11. She runs so smooth and easy and fast. On to the Breeders Distaff. I also heard that Rick Porter plans on running her as a four year old.

Racing / Exaggerator and Creator to Jim Dandy
July 19, 2016, 02:09:44 PM
I go to the Jim Dandy every year and I believe this is the first time since I've been going that we get two of the triple crown race  winners in the same year. I've seen Street Sense in 2007, Bernardini in 2006 and Palace Malice in I forget the year win the Jim Dandy. But never two from the same year entered.

I'm excited.
