Sonic Dancer was put down after falling in the 6th race at Keeneland on October 23. Calvin Borel is hospitalized with a broken leg and will be out 6 to 8 weeks. RIP Sonic Dancer and thank God it wasn;t worse for Calvin.
Indian Brut
A 2yr old with one start over a month ago i have not seen any workouts . any info.?
Square Dancer tripped and went down in the 3rd at Santa Anita, according to the TVG guys, dumping jockey Joel Rosario. The horse got up and trotted off, but Joel still down on the course, last I heard.
Boy, with Rosario just recovering from a serious injury and top horses to ride in the BC, a new injury would be horrible.

OMG I hope he's going to be okay. :(
We should know shortly - he's got a mount in the 5th and 7th race.
Rosario's fine - he just won the 5th race.
Good.
At least TVG had some mention. NYRA coverage: 'You never saw it and it didn't happen.'
Centralinteligence who got pulled up in the Dirt Mile. Supposedly (not seen where info from) reported on Friday 11/1 as not life-threatening, but today reported in Paulick Report as fracture of lower cannon bone near fetlock, which does sound potentially life-threatening to me, especially for a gelding.
Has anyone noticed that the DRF Twitter feed on their website has not had any new Tweets since Oct. 31? That's unfortunate, because those writers usually have very good updates on stuff like this.
I don't know why DRF has essentially turned off that section...could it be possible that all their writers are taking the weekend off? BC weekend?!?

Oh no! :(
Secret Compass went down in the Juvenile Fillies. They never went back just on to ND bullshoot. Any news? Did not look good.
TVG at least has some updates. The channel that is supposed to do the BC coverage has...football? Why?

Because NBC is a bunch of morons. They showed the Juvenile Fillies in the middle of football coverage and are going back to Santa Anita at 3:30 ET. Like a damn pregame show was SO important.
Secret Compass had to be euthanized. RIP, Secret Compass. Condolences to her owners and fans, and all her lads. Wishing Johnny V a speedy recovery.

Thanks for the news and prayers for his surgery and an uneventful recovery...
ETA: Any news on how his surgery went would be appreciated...
I heard surgery went well and he is recovering!
Excellent news! Wishing Centralinteligence an uneventful and speedy recovery.

...TBC.
When I tried to open a tab for Thoroughbred Champions, I got shuttled here, to TRF. Is the TBC site down again?
(Sorry about posting this question here, but it does sort of come under the heading of "Waiting For News on .....")

It seems to be working now.
Yeah, sorry about being such a Chicken Little. Probably was just a little maintenance going on.
No need to apologize, we probably all jump at shadows these days. Every time the forum seems very slow, etc.
Gilligan ran 5th at BHP on the 3th- was claimed, and now the chart has no mention of it(was there earlier) so I'm assuming the claim was voided? Hoping he did not get hurt, any news welcome.

On CHRB vet list as being unsound- claim voided.
In the 1st race at HollyPark today ... Rocky Barboa fell and Bob Consultation fell over him ...
It looked pretty bad as they both went down hard. I know they both got back up, but don't know if they were limping or seriously hurt.
Chart say Rocky broke down and was vanned off. It doesn't say anything about Bob.
I've been a following Rocky closely since his debut race. He, to me, just appeared to trip and lose his footing ... not break down. I hope they're both still with. Us.
Any updates on them would be appreciated. Fingers crossed!
Just checked on Twitter ...
They're tweeting that Rocky is dead and Bob Consultation is fine.
Damn it!!! :(
Rocky was gorgeous ... you can find my pic of him on PedigreeQuery. Poor Guy.
I'm so sorry, TTM. He sure was a grand looking boy. Condolences to all his fans and connections.

Yes he was ... Thanks for taking the time to check him out ...
I still haven't had the time to figure out how to get pictures on this site yet.
Here ya go, came out large, but you can really see how lovely this one was, R. I. P.

Top Billing was just pulled up in the Mountainview at Penn National.
Said Top Billing walked onto the van - so fingers crossed
Protonico pulled up and vanned after the finish line in today's JC Gold Cup, reportedly lame but without obvious sign of injury. They are hoping he will be OK.
Good news,hopefully! Thanks
I hope Protonico is okay... and I'll keep my mouth shut on the rest of that.
In other news someone say a little something for Grand Tito: http://www.drf.com/news/grand-tito-clinic-laminitis (http://www.drf.com/news/grand-tito-clinic-laminitis)

Oh my = Come on Grand Tito= get better - wish they could review all the successful treatments and actually find a cure - not case of this disease should be taken lightly
On the plus side it sounds like they caught the laminitis early, so that probably gives him the best chance. If he doesn't recover 100% hopefully they just go ahead and retire him.
Alas. Both Recepta and Grand Tito are gone, due to laminitis. Condolences to their connections and fans.

Do you have a link for Grand Tito? I saw the Recepta article (very sad- I was a fan of hers), but someone else posted about Grand Tito on the other board and I can't find a thing about his death, only the prior article that I posted.

I seem to recall seeing something, maybe twitter or some such, but could not now again find it. Horse Racing Nation does list him as deceased, and they're generally pretty good on such info. Digging around further I did find a Spanish language article dated November 5 (link to translated version below):
https://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=es&u=http://globovision.com/article/gramero-grand-tito-murio-tras-sufrir-infosura&prev=search (https://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=es&u=http://globovision.com/article/gramero-grand-tito-murio-tras-sufrir-infosura&prev=search)
OK, thanks. I'm not doubting he died, but it's strange there are no articles of his death and all the major sources have the articles abut him having a mild case of laminitis back in Oct.
In any case RIP Grand Tito...
Since the laminitis reportedly was caused by a shoeing incident, the connections maybe weren't anxious to draw any attention to his death. Not exactly good press.
Ah, yes maybe...
The 6 horse, Macho Citizen, was abruptly pulled up on the backstretch in the 5th at Saratoga, a 6-furlong MSW for 2yos. No mention of the incident from the talking heads on TVG. :(
It didn't looked like anything major
Unfortunately, he was euthanized. RIP Macho Citizen.
So sorry to hear that RIP
