What an impressive run in the Belmont Derby.

Mr. McGaughey said that he was likely headed to the G1 Secretariat next at Arlington Park.

I hope we get a chance to see him in the Joe Hirsch at Belmont Park in the fall.

He loves the turf.

And we all knew with his breeding he could get the distance.

I still think that he may have been fine on a different dirt track, but I am really happy to see him doing so well.

It was an impressive field with some quality Europeans...

Very nice run by Mr Speaker... with all due respect to that one he doesn't win if Adelaide doesn't get distracted and idle midway down the stretch. He actually came back at MS before the wire and probably would have won if not for the hang. I wonder if he's done that in previous races...

I do not know, but we'll hopefully see a lot of these enter the Secretariat and face off against each other again.

Between the Manhattan, the Belmont Derby and Oaks, and the UN Handicap we have been getting some really good turf fields here.

I hope that continues.

No immediate plans announced for Mr Speaker, but he got a 95 BSF for his win. Shug sounded like he was leaning towards keeping him in NY rather than ship for the Secretariat though...

Jose Lezcano eased him up when he went by ,that's why it look like Adelaide was coming back!
If Jose wanted they would have won the way all of us(Mr. Speaker fans)wished he had!! Imo

BTW he was the only horse that I was alive with, ending the pick3.
call no man happy till he dies. ~SOLON~

After the race he said the Secretariat in the interview we saw. I hope he stays in NY, but want the best for him.

I would really like to see him in the Travers.

Weirdly run race, Bobbys Kitten and Gala Award stopped at the the head of the stretch. Couldnt beieve how quick the 3 relinquished going for the lead.
Nice run by mr speaker

I just read a DRF article where they quoted Shug as saying he would prefer to "stay home" and not ship to Arlington. I assume that means he stays home in NY? In any case Mr Speaker would target another G1 I would think...

Man o Taz

That is funny.

Everything is up in the air.

Well, I hope to at least see him work in the AM at Saratoga and I do wish he'd try dirt again, but that is probably unlikley.
