Wonder Gadot splashed her way to an easy win in the second leg of the Canadian triple crown at FE

Good for Gadot.
I understand that the filly is not going to try for their Triple Crown, but will be targeting the Alabama with an eye toward the BC Distaff.

PEEPERS....
WILL CHECK OUT
:thanks:
It makes sense for her to skip the last leg in the Canadian TC if the trainer feels strongly that 12 furlongs on the grass is NOT what she does best. They want to compete in the BC Distaff, which IIRC is 9 furlongs. And on the dirt.
The Distaff could end up being the best race of BC Saturday, with fillies & mares like Abel Tasman, Elate, Midnight Bisou, Monomoy Girl, Unique Bella and Wonder Gadot heading there. The Classic, on the other hand, may be a diluted version of what we thought we would see earlier this summer.

:thanks: BAROQUE
Very informative and now that I see the possibility for the BC DISTAFF....
MY REACTION IS...OMG...MEOWZA.... :OMG:
Of course I'd love UNIQUE BELLA TO REIGN AS QUEEN :celebrate:
She has had in my heart from day 1 ~ :girlkiss:

In his post-race comments following Flameaway's second-place finish in the Jim Dandy, trainer Mark Casse said he's"fairly certain" the 3-year-old filly Wonder Gadot will run in the Travers.

Really!? Wow.
I like the filly but, if Casse feels she is competitive in the Travers, IMO he must not have a high opinion of the colts who may show up. ???
He may not now.
If his filly gets trounced, a lot of people may look at something a little differently.
