Still can't figure out , you presumably breed the best to the best with the idea in three years you shoot for the Triple Crown. Curlin to Rachel and Bernardini to Zenyetta. Then you don't even race them to see how good they could become. What is the wait. Seems like they are both being pampered too much. Will they ever see the starting gate. I'm beginning to wonder. Any ideas.

Breeding the best to the best is what keeps the bloodhorse industry going round.  In real life, it works less often than you'd expect, at least as far as champion level offspring are concerned.

If they were ready, they would race.

They are obviously not ready. The worst thing you could do is rush them. These connections are doing it right.

On 3/29 Cozmic One stretched out to six furlongs in 1:14.40, handily, 16/10.

On 4/4 Jess's Dream stretched out to five furlongs in 1:03.40, breezing 1/3.

On 3/27 he worked four furlongs in 51.80 breezing 1/2.

4/12 Santa Anita 4 furlongs in 50.00, 49/59 handily from the gate.

4/6 Santa Anita 6 furlongs 1:15.00 handily 6/9.

Jess's Dream at Stonestreet in Florida works every 9 to 10 days so his next work should be coming soon.

He also may be shipping back to Belmont soon.

Still no work for JD.

For Coz, it seemed like a learning experience. He seemed to come out of it well.

I haven't seen the Beyer speed figure for Coz, but his Equibase speed figure seemed pretty OK for a debuter ... certainly better than it seemed visually.

Does anyone know what his Beyer was?

ElPrado

We have seen why Coz wasn't racing early. He has no clue he is supposed to be running. He's just out to canter around the track like usual.

Raven

If enything, they should bring him to Belmont.
That track will suit him better than SA!!
IMO.

Well, maybe he comes to Belmont in the late Spring.

TTM - no word on BSFs for Coz.
