think I've seen that at SA and other places as well. One horse I bet was 9/2 when the gates opened and 2/1 when he hit the wire. It's a product of the technological age I think...

I was at Turf Paradise last week and bet a horse that was 8-1 standing in the gate. The horse was full of run all the way around, pulled the jock to the front straightening in to the stretch, ran on the wrong lead all the way to the wire, won for fun and paid 4-1. I don't need those kind of technological advancements.

How much is everyone investing in Saturday's Rainbow mandatory payout?

Lots of horses you can't throw out. One I'm thinking of playing against is Take Charge Paula
seems like a total sprinter to me. Only key I am considering is Sadlers Joy his last was really
impressive - yet he doesn't win a lot

Any thoughts?
