OH NO! Oxbow! He was my Triple Crown favorite as far as impressive overall performance and I had so hoped to see him back.

How serious was that ankle injury anyhow?

A beautiful picture of two handsome men, one four legged and one ... oh never mind.  :X

As for Declaration of War ... where did I hear he was Breeders' Cup bound? Maybe I dreamed it. Oh well.

He is racing in the Classic and will be retired afterward to Coolmore.

Happy retirement, buddy! In a way, wish he still had the original equipment- sons of Rahy are few and far between- looks like he will carry on most effectively thru his daughters

It's nice to see the sparkle back in his eyes.  And those are, looks-wise, my favorite silks.

OH-Bred Catlaunch, a 40-Time Winner, Retired

http://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-racing/articles/81858/oh-bred-catlaunch-a-40-time-winner-retired

Congratulations to Catlaunch and his connections. Always grateful when they make it through unscathed - especially
at his age. I was lucky enough to see him race in person at Thistledown 5 times. Going to miss him on the track - just a tough old bird.
Wouldn't mind seeing him go to Old Friends, knowing that he would forever be taken care of, and have plenty of visitors
coming to see him...

Good job Catlaunch!
