I've been going to the track( in NY) since the spring of 74!

I learned the game from old timers and I've got many angles that i picket up from them,plus my own.

For example.   At Aqueduct  races out of the chute(7or8 furlongs) the inside horses are at a disadvantage.
At  9 furlongs the inside is an advantage
AQ. Again ,on the turf closers are doing better than speed!!

i don't think that i have ever use Andy's#
I used to prefer the speed and variant #,i don't use it much anymore, i only use it now in fillies and mares  races for low to middle clmrs or NYB  FM up to NW2L

Another angle!   Belmont turf- inner=speed[especially at 10f]  Widener=closers. Sprints are mostly stalkers.

And Woodbine's turf it's all speed!!  Isn't that right Senator?

I think with Woodbine it is more class, but I'll always take a horse with
fast times ie.,  Bright Thought last week ran a 1 1/4 in 1:58.25 and got a 94 Beyer speed figure
Personally I don't use his Beyers for the turf but lots do and seeing that 94 he will be a huge underlay in
the Breeders Cup Turf
Probably 15 or 20 -1 ml and Little Mike isn't running

As for Woodbine's turf angle, always give the horses who will be running
on the inside a better look. They keep a temporary rail up until the
big stakes day when they take it down. The inside always seem
to be the fastest :chickendance:
