Just a hunch....

Saturday @ Santa Anita Race 7 Mdn Clm, the only firster in the group, #5 Bachchan, just maybe Pedroza can pop the gate and make every pole a winning one at 10-1.

A couple of ASSumptions...

1)  The award is primarily for the owners.
2)  The award is not for the future Breeders, folks aren't that naive buying in that they'd pay more for breeding to a HOY.
3)  The award isn't really for the fans, they have no/little skin in the game.

So I have to put myself in the shoes of the owner and which one would I prefer to be during the racing year.

OR

Plus of handful of California trophies that I've been told in the past aren't the caliber of a Travers or other stakes east of the Rockies.

Not a doubt in my mind.......I'll take the Triple Crown Winner with relative ease as there will be another Accelerate in our future, not so sure we'll ever see another Justify!

Big day Saturday.
I can't find a single for rolling exotics, not even Enable as Waldgeist ain't exactly chopped liver.

So, for the purpose of bragging rights, and cash in MY wallet, here's my one and only best bet of the day.

Race 9 The Distaff

# 9 WOW CAT for Chad Brown and one of the Ortiz brothers at 8/1 on the morning line.
The favorites, while all very good horses seem to have some question marks attached, while WowCat seems to be an improving sort for his 4th race in the country.

Best wishes all, enjoy the day.

For golf fans, the early double @ ol' DelMar.

1. 4 Tiger Dad   Carla Gaines   Ass Espinoza 9/2
2. 8 Tiger Mom   Bob Hess   Evin Roman 3/1

If they have red silks double the bet!
