What happened to him? Was he retired?

The last I remember reading about him was early in 2013.

Went The Day Well To undergo tie-back surgery (http://www.paulickreport.com/news/thoroughbred-racing/went-the-day-well-to-undergo-throat-surgery/)

From the articles I read about tie back surgery, it is not uncommon for it to fail.  If it failed, he is probably retired.

I was wondering where he has been, as well.  Irwin and Team Valor are usually pretty good about
announcing news of retirements...

Disregard - thought I had found some info but it turned out to be from summer 2012.

Good thing I asked... for some reason I was almost sure he was retired. Thought I read an announcement awhile back, but probably confusing him with another horse.

He's still listed on the Team Valor roster.

Seems like he's pretty much a forgotten horse. Has run three times this year with little fanfare - and limited success.
5th at Delaware Park (AOC) 7/2/14.

5th at Saratoga (AOC) 8/10/14.

3rd at Belmont (AOC) 9/13/14.

Looks like they are giving him every opportunity and he just hasn't responded yet...

I saw his last race- he did not run terribly in defeat (though he didn't have much kick at the end) I think they should keep him on turf.
